Working on a Plan | May 20

My latest single, “Working on a Plan,” will be available everywhere on May 20.

This song was originally written a few years ago. I even collaborated with Oakland video production company, Metrics Cosmetics, on recording a live performance of it in 2014(?!). I have rarely played it live, however, and almost forgot about the song until recently.

I’m very proud of the direction my long-time collaborator, Gawain Mathews, took this recording in. All of the percussion and drumming sounds were created using my own vocal samples. The result is a very organic, earthy, acoustic arrangement that is somehow both very different and very similar to most of my other recent recordings.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Falling In Love | April 22

My latest single, “Falling in Love,” will available everywhere on April 22.

This song has been around for a while, and was originally recorded with just voice and guitar at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco in 2014! I’m incredibly happy to take it back in the studio with my long-time collaborator, Gawain Mathews for a proper recording and arrangement.

I Need This | March 11

My new single, “I Need This,” will be available everywhere good digital music is sold and streamed on Monday, March 11.

The original, creative kernel for “I Need This” has been around for a couple of years, but I sat down to write the song in earnest at the end of 2018 during the months I was waiting to hear back about the possibility of opening for Matt Nathanson on his current U.S. tour.

As a result, “I Need This” expresses much of the anxious anticipation I was experiencing at the time.

My new single, “The Fall of Rome,” will be available everywhere good digital music is sold and streamed on February 18.
